I discovered my passion for creating abstract art several years ago, when I began taking classes in Los Angeles. I had previously dabbled in formal drawing courses, but expressing myself though abstract line, shapes, and color resonated with me in a way that representative art had not. My work is inspired by the forces of nature and the way dancers express emotion with their bodies. I strive to capture the energy and movement of natural forces and dancers, and to invite viewers to see the world in a new light. I use a variety of mediums including acrylics, watercolor, ink, and tissue paper collage to explore these themes and to create compositions that are evocative. I hope that my work inspires a sense of wonder and curiosity about the beauty and complexity of our natural world and the language of dance.
